Why ?

Fri Jul 24, 2009, 11:49 AM
These pics have been (an will be) made in a sauna bar, called "Le Labyrinthe", dedicated to the pleasure and the libertinage.

The models are only volunteer customers (men and women).

By this work, I want to highlight the diversity and the anonymity of these customers in a such place.

I could understand negative reactions. My purpose is not to shock people.

In my mind, maybe the artistic side is more in the concept than in the picture itself.

Hope my english good enough to be understood clearly.

Deviantly yours.

I am reminded of wrinkly elephants. but actually, this gallery has interest!

I must admit, at first I was a bit taken aback by this...but reading your explanation and clicking on your gallery button, then seeing all the thumbs together...it's a fascinating concept and I like how you are keeping all of the dimensions of the images the same.

:)

First, thanks for this kind and intelligent comment. Very happy that doubtfull people take the time to read my explanation and finally appreciate my work !
In my mind, the square format, the way of framing the "tool" and a sequential number reinforce the anonymous side of the pictures. Thus I try to keep proportion whatever the "tool" size :)

Time's so near you can almost taste the freedom. There's a warm wind from the south.
Hoist the sail and we'll be gone,by morning this will all seem like a dream.

This would make for a great coffee table book.
